PlayEngine ("the App", "the Service") is operated by JOYIZM Inc., a Delaware corporation headquartered in Palo Alto, California ("JOYIZM", "we", "us", "our"). PlayEngine is a recreational sports matchmaking and event management platform that allows users to host, join, and track sports events and group sessions.
You must be at least 18 years old to use PlayEngine. By using the Service you represent that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, please do not use the Service.
You may sign in using Google or Apple authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@joyizm.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
You agree to use PlayEngine only for lawful recreational purposes. You must not:
Users who create events ("Hosts") take responsibility for the safe and lawful conduct of those events. JOYIZM is not a venue operator, sports organiser, or insurer. We provide software tools only. Hosts must ensure that:
You may optionally provide emergency contact details, blood group, and insurance information in your profile. This information is stored voluntarily and is visible to the event Host during an event solely to assist in emergency situations. JOYIZM does not use this information for commercial purposes, does not share it with third parties outside the event context, and does not guarantee its accuracy or completeness in an emergency. You are responsible for keeping this information current.
The J·O·Y matchmaking algorithm, PlayEngine platform design, and associated innovations are the proprietary intellectual property of JOYIZM Inc. A provisional patent application has been filed (March 19, 2026). You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.
User-generated content (event names, chat messages, scores) remains your property. You grant JOYIZM a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and display this content as necessary to provide the Service.
PlayEngine is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. JOYIZM does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. Participation in physical sports activities carries inherent risk of injury. You participate at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, JOYIZM's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of PlayEngine shall not exceed the greater of (a) $100 USD or (b) the amount you paid to JOYIZM in the twelve months preceding the claim. JOYIZM is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
You may delete your account at any time from your Profile settings within the App. Upon requesting deletion, your account will be deactivated immediately and your personal data will be permanently erased within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Event records and aggregated anonymous statistics may be retained.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or by email. Your continued use of PlayEngine after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Santa Clara County, California, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
